Start with the final haircut price and the salon that accepts it—not the biggest number on a coupon.

Is $5 off the same as a $5 haircut?
No. A $5-off coupon subtracts $5 from the salon’s regular price. If that price is $20, the haircut becomes $15 before any applicable tax or tip. The same discount on an $18 haircut gives $13. Ask the salon for its regular price.
How does HairClipped choose “Better near you”?
We use $20 as an explicit comparison assumption—not a claim about a chain’s actual nationwide price. A $5 discount therefore has an estimated $15 final cost. An in-range fixed-price offer below $15 wins that comparison. We sort qualifying local offers by estimated final price, then distance; a tie keeps the nationwide fallback.
The calculation does not include travel cost, taxes or tips. A slightly cheaper haircut far away may not be the best choice for you.
What does “near my ZIP” mean?
Exact-salon distances are straight-line miles from a Census ZIP centroid to the named salon, not driving distance. Regional matches use reviewed ZIP coverage and are approximate. Locate me finds a nearby ZIP centroid; you can edit that ZIP before searching.
Orange map pins identify exact salons. Green areas are schematic regional coverage, not precise boundaries or a promise that every salon inside accepts the offer. Nationwide coupons do not get a map pin.
Can I use a nationwide coupon anywhere?
“Participating U.S. salons” is not a guarantee of universal acceptance. Review the official terms and ask the salon before traveling. An exact-salon coupon is narrower: use only the named location unless its official terms say otherwise.
What should I check before opening a coupon?
- Check whether the amount is a fixed haircut price or an amount off.
- Match the named salon or participating area to your visit.
- Read the expiration date or rolling-window wording.
- Look at the last verified date; it records a check, not a redemption guarantee.
- Open the official page and follow the issuer’s terms yourself.
Do I need to pay or make an account?
