Privacy policy

Search and location

Your ZIP returns matching deals. If you choose Locate me, coordinates are sent to HairClipped to find a nearby ZIP centroid. We do not store those coordinates. Only the ZIP appears in the results URL.

Local deal email signup

With your signup consent, we privately store your email, ZIP, radius, request time and confirmation status in Supabase. Signup is optional and never required to open a coupon. We ask you to confirm your email before sending deal emails. Confirmed subscribers receive at most one weekly digest when new deals match their saved ZIP and radius. No new matching deals means no deal email. Each deal email includes a secure link to manage preferences or unsubscribe. Our email provider, Resend, processes recipient addresses and delivery information to send these messages.

How we use information

We use signup information for requested local alerts, abuse prevention and support. We do not sell your email list or provide it to salons.

Maps

Maps use OpenStreetMap road tiles. Requests disclose ordinary technical information, including your IP address and the displayed map area, to the tile provider. We do not send precise browser coordinates to that provider.

Analytics and advertising

We use Vercel Web Analytics for aggregate site traffic. It does not use analytics cookies. Our integration removes query strings and fragments from reported page URLs, and excludes API, administration and alert-management pages. We do not send signup emails, ZIP parameters or management tokens as analytics events. Google AdSense advertising remains disabled pending approval and consent setup.

Retention and choices

We retain signup and subscription records to manage confirmation, deliver requested alerts, and record your preferences. We also retain unsubscribe and delivery-suppression records to help prevent unwanted email. You can request removal at any time. Confirmed subscribers can unsubscribe through a secure link in each deal email. Reports are retained as needed for moderation and abuse prevention.
